A Father’s prayer
When Kilian Dreiling was born, his father Michael prayed that God would give young Kilian “faith that would wash.” By this, Michael was asking Our Lord to grant him faith that wouldn’t “wash out” like most of the primitive dyes used by Western Kansas Pioneers.
 Michael Dreiling’s prayers were obviously answered, as Fr. Kilian Dreiling’s faith grew stronger with each passing year. Fr. Kilian was able to pass along that faith to many thousands during his lifetime, and was ultimately responsible for the vocations of many Catholic Religious Clergymen and women.
